AFCON 2015 Country Profile: Burkina Faso

Completing Group A are the Stallions of Burkina Faso, who finished second to Gabon in the qualifying rounds. Having proved to be something of a surprise package in the last Afcon tournament, the 2013 finalists will be looking to prove that they are still a force, and a stronger force than that which finished as runners up last time around.

WORD ON THE STANDS:

The Burkina Faso fans have come to have expectations of their side. A huge part of this can be attributed to the cup run that ended in an appearance in the final. Though they may find it difficult to overcome Gabon in the opener, they will back themselves to compete with the rest of the group. While they are aware that it will be difficult to replicate the form from 2013, the fans are behind their side, and will be hoping Paul Put can work his magic with their squad.
