The Grand Stand View

It is extremely hard to think of a young player that could fit seamlessly into the Ajax style of play, and somehow fail to play some aesthetically pleasing football when they’re on the field; Arkadiusz Milik is every bit the archetypical Ajax forward, if one had to use the long line of great leading men as the measuring stick. The fact that he’s a leftie that plays good football, earns him extra points on any scale too.

A natural forward that is blessed with the grace and balance of an attacking midfield technician, Arkadiusz Milik combines a well balanced concoction of guile, technique and clinical finishing, to make for one extremely lethal forward. A gifted young man with the frame to play well at the elite level as a lone striker, Milik has the ability to hold the ball up & use his neat touches to get teammates involved more, or utilise his good mobility, for a lanky lad, to play off the shoulder of defender and look to get in behind opposition defensive lines with his great movement. A creative midfielder’s dream, Milik is tailor-made for modern football, due to his ability to not only finish off what has been created for him, but also use his great ability on the ball to create scoring chances for those around him as well.

Few young players can boast the experience Arkadiusz Milik has garnered from playing in three very different football leagues and cultures; the exposure to a vast array of methods and tactics has helped him develop into a very well rounded forward, one who has an extremely bright future in the game. The fact that he spent some time on trial in England as a teen with Reading & Tottenham Hotspur should have been an early indicator of the great potential he has in his locker, if he keeps his development on course, the lifelong Arsenal fan could find himself moving even closer to a league and a club that he holds in such high regard.
