The Grand Stand View

A proud product of one of the most reputable and successful youth teams in Poland, the Lech Poznań Academy, one shouldn’t be surprised to note that Karol Linetty is being tipped as one of the hottest young midfielders to come out of Poland in a while.  Geggen-pressing may have been dubbed the greatest playmaker in World Football by one of its key ambassadors Jurgen Klopp, yet the trend has not negated the need for a genuine playmaking midfielder, or three being deployed by any side looking to play to win more than they lose.

A gifted playmaker, who now brings some much needed balance to the good attacking and defensive talent the nation has been steadily producing over the past couple of years, Karol Linetty is a chance creating machine that always looks to play going forward, more often than not, at full tilt as well. There is much to admire about the manner  in which Karol plays with his heart on his sleeve, and looks to get involved in play on both sides of the ball, a hard running creative midfielder seems to have become the new must-have commodity for any side looking to thrive playing a high pressing game. Well-versed in the art of looking for the pass first, Karol Linetty is an ideal candidate to play in any of the 3 playmaker positions, and still offer the same consistent supply of attacking opportunities for his teammates.

Poland have gradually begun to steadily develop elite level ready young footballers, that have the talent and drive to make a mark at the highest level; Karol Linetty has the potential to become another one of those players to take their game to the next level, while further elevating the standard of Polish football. If the lad can keep up his great development, and translate his potential into more displays of elite level readiness, Karol could see himself earning a move to one of the bigger leagues in Europe in the very near future.
